Work of Art

Great. Just what shy, artistic Alice needed—one more thing to make her even more awkward and odd and unable to fit in at school. Not that hopping in and out of famous paintings is without its perks, mind you (exhibit A: her adorable and mysterious almost-maybe-boyfriend, Jonathan, from the year 1770). Trouble is, Alice doesn’t quite know what she’s doing (which is why she was chewed out by a Victorian busybody and threatened by a Baroque sword-wielding Dutchman). And when one of her blunders threatens the very existence of her dear friend Margaret, Alice isn’t so sure whether to call this “superpower” a blessing or a curse. She doesn’t know if she can fix all her mistakes, but she knows she needs to try—even if it means losing everything.
